Russell Campbell

Biography

Russell Campbell joined the SRC in February 2023 as a Research Consultant. He is an Attorney at Law and has served as a judicial research counsel, a legal officer at the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Trinidad and Tobago, and most recently as a young professional working on dispute settlement and legal affairs at the WTO.

 

Russell has worked on trade disputes both internationally and regionally before the Caribbean Court of Justice. His practice areas are international dispute settlement, international arbitration, international trade law, Caribbean community law and regional integration. His research interests centre on CCJ jurisprudence and examining developing countries’ participation in the multilateral trading system.

 

Russell is a Chevening Scholar and has supported the mentorship and outreach activities of the local chapter of Chevening alumni. During his post graduate studies he was an editor at the UCL Journal of Law and Jurisprudence. He is also a former tutor at the University of the West Indies St. Augustine Campus where he led seminars on legal methods research and writing.
