The Shridath Ramphal Centre (SRC) is pleased to announce the return of its Distinguished Owen S. Arthur Memorial Lecture series, with this year’s edition taking place on Friday, 2nd October 2026, at the Walcott Warner Theatre, Errol Barrow Centre for Creative Imagination, The UWI, Cave Hill Campus.
This year’s lecture will be delivered by Dr Ralph Gonsalves, former Prime Minister and current Leader of the Opposition of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, a figure whose decades of political leadership and regional engagement offer a unique vantage point on the challenges and opportunities facing the Caribbean today.
Dr Gonsalves will address the timely and pressing theme of “The Future of Caribbean Integration: Sovereignty, Solidarity and Survival in the Twenty-First Century“.
The lecture begins at 6:00 p.m. (AST) and is open to the public, offering students, academics, professionals, and members of the wider community an opportunity to engage directly with one of the region’s most experienced political voices. For those unable to attend in person, the session will be streamed live on UWI TV.
Those wishing to attend in person are encouraged to register in advance to secure their seat: https://acesse.one/ibzvjg9.
