Kholofelo Kugler
Head of Trade Law at Besso
Kholofelo Kugler is Head of Trade Law at Besso. She is also a nonresident scholar in the Africa Program of Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Previously, she was Counsel at the Advisory Centre on WTO Law in Geneva, Switzerland and a PhD Fellow in the project Trade Law 4.0 at the University of Lucerne, Switzerland. Kholofelo has worked as a Consultant for governments; development agencies; think tanks; international and regional organisations, including UNCTAD, the AfCFTA Secretariat, UNECA, and the IDB; as well as multinational companies like Meta. She publishes regularly on trade law and digital trade law issues, and frequently lectures at academic and training institutions in Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, and the United States.
