The SRC hosted its 2nd Annual International Women’s Day Lunchtime Chat on March 3rd, 2023 in early commemoration of International Women’s Day (March 8). Moderated by our Director Dr. Jan Yves Remy, the esteemed panelists were Ms. Kim Butcher (CEO, OkoyebyKim), Dr. Sylvia Dohnert (Executive Director, Compete Caribbean), Ms. Gayle Gollop (National Private Sector Specialist – Jamaica, UN Women) and Ms. Allyson Francis (Services Specialist, Caribbean Export Development Agency).
The SRC also conferred Ambassador Gail Mathurin with its 2nd annual Women in Trade Award for her distinguished service in the field of international trade policy in CARICOM and as former Director General of the Office of Trade Negotiations of the CARICOM Secretariat. Ambassador Wayne McCook, Assistant Secretary General of the CARICOM Single Market and Trade (formerly the OTN) delivered a stirring tribute and joined Dr. Remy in presenting Ambassador Mathurin with the award.
