The SRC is pleased to announce the appointment of our new Director Dr. Jan Yves Remy. Dr. Remy joined the SRC as Deputy Director in August 2018. She was appointed Director effective August 1, 2021 and succeeds Neil C.A. Paul who retired on July 31, 2021. You can read Neil’s reflections on his tenure here.
Dr. Remy is an attorney-at-law and brings to the post of SRC director some two decades of experience and expertise in international trade law and policy, including working as a dispute settlement lawyer at the World Trade Organisation and as a senior associate at globally renowned law firm Sidley Austin. Early in her career, she had also worked at the Caribbean Regional Negotiating Machinery (CRNM), the predecessor of the Office of Trade Negotiations (OTN) of the CARICOM Secretariat.
